Call for Sessions and Abstracts#

Geoinformatics Research Days welcomes contributions from all areas of geospatial research and applications, providing an open platform for sharing ideas, methods, and innovations across the discipline. We welcome contributions ranging from early-stage research and practical experiences to innovative methods and new ideas.

Call for Sessions#

We invite proposals for sessions. If you and your colleagues share a topic, question, or approach that deserves dedicated time, you are welcome to organize a session around it. This could be a regular session featuring presentations, a special themed session, a workshop, or another format of your choice. Sessions are typically 90 minutes long.

Session organizers chair their session, review the abstracts submitted to it, and are encouraged to promote it in their networks. If a session receives only a few abstracts, it may be merged with a related session in discussion with the organizers.

A session proposal should include:

  • A descriptive session title

  • The names, emails and affiliations of the organizers

  • A description of the session and its relevance, maximum 300 words

  • The preferred format (e.g. presentation session, panel, workshop, or discussion)

The proposals will be reviewed by the organizing committee, and accepted sessions will be published on this website.

Propose your session by 27 November 2026.
